Paula Carmona

Retired now from a career as an advanced practice psychiatric nurse. I live in San Diego with my husband, Fred, who was an anthropologist. After college I lived in NYC, New Haven, and spent 6 months in southern Chile. I have two kids. I co-authored one self-help book on meditation and treatment of depression. My interests now include gardening, painting, habitat preservation, and getting out and hiking.

Bob King was a big influence in my life. He introduced me to Zen practice and this has been an enduring interest. Bob and I stayed good friends until his death in 2018. He was quirky, kind, generous, and remarkably brave in his final years.
