I am crushed to learn of the death of David Williamson. He was always one of my heroes. I know from the Facebook page of his sister Lynn that he had surgery on December 4, but that's about all I know.

Thank you Danny Williams for sharing the news, even when it is this bad. Otherwise we might never know.

I am saddened to learn about David. This death is such a hard one as David was one of "the rocks" of the Class of '69. He was one of the truly good guys in life. I'm so sorry for your loss, Sissy. I will keep you in my prayers that you be strengthened by your love for David and your girls and by your classmates and friends who will be thinking about and praying for you. Thank you, Danny, for sharing the news.

My heart is aching for Sissy and their family at losing David.  Carolyn is right that he was definitely one of the good guys and he went way too early.  Growing up in Walterboro was a great childhood because of relationships with folks like David and Sissy.  Even though I've been away forever it still feels like yesterday that we were all together and I cherish those memories.  The reunions have certainly helped with that.  My prayers go out for David's entire family and all who will mourn his loss, including the entire Class of '69!  Rest in Peace.

My thoughts & prayers for the Williamson family. He was a truly amazing individual. One of the "Good Guys."  I'll never forget his friendship & gentleman forever ways. He was so kind to my mother.  God bless the family.

Good guy doesn't even come close .  David was a friend since the first grade.  My financial mentor as well.  My prayers are with Sissy and the family.

I am so sorry to hear about David. My deepest sympathy goes out to Sissy and family, also to his brother Jimmy, who I worked with at JP Stevens some years ago.  I will keep the entire family in prayer for God's mercy to sustain them during this difficult time.

Warmly,

Medina Bright

I was truly sad to hear about David's passing away so suddenly.  My heart goes out to Sissy and their daughters.  I had classes with David and competed in track and football with him. He was the epitome of the good sportsman, was always a gentleman and just an all around good guy.  I have never met his equal and I am sure I never will.  Rest in peace, old friend.  You've earned your reward.  I truly hope to see you again one day.

Looking forward to spending a wonderful weekend together.   Tim and Donna Lemacks Sumner have graciously extended their home to us for a drop in on friday night  (7-10) at 665 Hilton Hall Lane, W'boro.  Come and join us by the pool and enjoy a causal time together.  Then Sat. Also we are having a planning meeting on Wed. May 14 at 6PM at Donna Sumner's house, if you are in the Boro come and help us with the final plans.  It's not a party if you are not there!!!

Alas, I will not be able to attend. I was just in Round O for a month with Debra Barry Jones during the loss of her Mom,  Wish I could have stayed longer & played with the class of '69.   Have lots of fun & post lots of pictures.
