geez--I guess I am still really blonde!! Didn't even think of that--thanks Alta Mae. That's why I asked for your help.
Will let you know when I'm coming--understand there has been alot of rain & Mr. Benton hasn't been able to cut hay so not exactly sure but soon I'm sure.

Carolyn,
I finally got to see the pictures your husband took, and they really captured the true feeling we all had at the class reunion...all of those smiling faces! I know all of those classmates that were not able to attend could take a look at any of those pictures and feel like they were there.
Cindy,
It really sounds like you have quite a collection. I can't wait to see them, although it sounds like it might be awhile before you get back to Walterboro. I need to do the same, go through all of my old things. But of course mine have probably "dry-rotted" by now. Let's just hope for the best! I sure hope I get to see you when you are in town. Take care...Nancy

Hi All,
All is well in Atlanta. Hope all is well with you. I just had a TRK replacement on 7/20 and is at home recuperating well. The PT is the hardest part of it but doing better with that also. Keep ne in your prayers. Don't let my disability stop any of you from enjoying enjoying the rest of the summer! LOL
Take care until,
Medina

Well, I finally saw Carolyn's pixs. It took me a long time to go to the site because I sooooo wanted to be there. They were even better than I thought they would be. I saw so many people that I would have loved to talk to. All of you look great and looked like you had a ball!!! I am more sick than before that I missed it. What a great class we have!!!!
Medina, good luck with your recovery!!! You will be in my prayers.

Alta Mae:
Am heading to W'Boro sometime Monday and back home after we pick up horse trailer full of hay at Mr. I.M. Benton's maybe on Wednesday morning. I will drop the papers for you to scan and you can take your time and send back to me when you are finished. I appreciate you doing this. Do you want me to drop at your home or where? Nancy are you still working? I could drop them off to anyone anywhere. I have to go by the cemetary for awhile on Tuesday. That will be hard.
I look forward to coming "home" if only for a couple days.
Thanks

Cindy,
I'm so glad you are able to come that quickly! The way you talked I thought it might be awhile. The sooner the better. I am not working...I am getting disability for the Parkinson's, after working at Job Service for 28 years. It was hard to do and I really miss the people, but at least now I am able to keep my 3 grandchildren; full time is quite a job, but I'm really looking forward to school starting back(except for homework).I would love to see you, maybe you could give me a call when you are in town 893-3105, some of us can get together and have lunch or whatever. Take care, Nancy

Hey Nancy. My friend called yesterday & he is worried about the last tropical depression coming . We will be coming up Saturday & back home sometime Monday. Are you still living on Jacksonboro highway?? Since I haven't heard from anyone else, I'll call you and hopefully we can get together & I'll give you the papers. I may just bring the whole scrapbook as it has so many other newspaper pictures of students ahead of us but bring back fond memories as well. Thanks loads, talk soon

Cindy....been out of town for a week, are you in Walterboro from the 15th to the 17th?

Danny

Cindy Jones (Berl)

Yes I came to walterboro & had no phone numbers for anyone & didn't want to just stop by someone's house 'cause that would be rude & they probably didn't live there anymore. Came back yesterday (Monday) so I had to bring the papers and all back home with me. Communication failed.

Cindy,
I am sick that I missed you when you were in town! I guess you must have left my phone #at home. Well, I guess you would say I still live on the Jacksonboro Hwy., but they call it the Charleston Hwy, my address is now
5546 Charleston Hwy, Walterboro SC (Mashawville). I will be looking forward to seeing you next time your're in town. Hopefully we can connect somehow! Take care, Nancy

Nance- yes I left your # at home & since I had no computer with me-I was outta luck. It was a horrible trip up-my friend was driving 20 miles/hr and we still couldn't see cars in front or behind us 'cause of driving rain. Then Monday am-A truck blew his horn at us before Jacksonville & I looked at the right outside mirror & saw smoke billowing from the horsetrailer tire. He is 71 & could not loosen the lugnuts so we wated on On-Star 1/1/2 hrs & finally a Fla Rd ranger came up & he & I chged that tire in 5 minutes flat!! Don't ever count out a South Carolina Girl!! I'll be back up in the fall to go to cemetary & we will definitely "do lunch". I may come on Amtrack next time.

I sure am sorry to read about Everett Smoak.Life can be so unpredictable and unfair. Live each day to the fullest is what I strive to do.
I'm catching up reading the message forum and noticed that Nancy mentioned she lives on Jacksonboro Hwy and wanted to let you all know that Delane (Bessenger) Bivens is staying with her mom in Jacksonboro temporarily since her health is so poor. I am sure Delane would love to hear from you. We've tried to stay in touch through the years. Delane's home is on James Island with her husband, Tommy. Her daughter, Brooke, has recently become a pharmacist and recently married. Delane was able to attend the wedding but her health has declined since then. Nancy, I bet you live near Delane's mom? Do you know where Ms. Bessenger lives? Hope everyone is well and will be safe!

I was so sorry to hear about Everett's passing. Thank you, Danny, for keeping us up on things, even the sad stuff. Please let the family know that we all send our condolences.

There was a question about my posting concerning if it is Delane or her mother in poor health. I needed to clarify that it is Delane that is not doing well at all. Hope and pray that Delane will improve and that Delane's mother can continue to be care giver. Thanks, Valerie, for asking!

Hey Debbie, Sorry to hear about Delane. I was sure unaware of the health issue. I will try to get down there to visit her. She is in the last house on the right before the bridge in Jacksonboro if anyone else would like to visit. That's when you are headed to Charleston. More info on Everett's passing--he had a mishap with a back hoe. Sad and like you said, life is fragile and fleeting. A little out of our class but Donald Herndon is ill and at Roper I think if anyone wants to check. Cindy, I am sure you knew already. Miss you all. Let's have another class reunion so we can include the ones that missed the one in May. Danny??? Please can we huh, huh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Love to all. Pam

Hey, Jennifer, good to hear about your new company! Sad to hear about Freddie. Pam, that would be great if you could visit Delane. I talked to her last night and she is doing some better. Jennifer and I are planning on going to visit in a couple of weeks. Thanks, Danny, for keeping us posted.

I work 48 starting tomorrow, the price I pay for spending the weekend at Clemson! But I had a great time. Just chillin....and winning the game of course, even if it did include 3 lightning delays. Hey everybody, lets do something together again---before 5 years OK?
