Carey Jones Polk

In September of 1998, I got a job at CT Lowndes and Company and worked there for nine years while attending college at USC Salkehatchie and USC Beaufort. I graduated in 2007 and began working at Hendersonville Elementary.

I have been married for five wonderful years to Jared Polk who graduated from the Citadel in 2001. We currently do not have any children, but have two wonderful nephews. We live in Islandton and have wonderful friends and neighbors.

I teach Sunday School at Rice Patch Christian Church. In my free time I enjoy fishing, shopping, relaxing, traveling, and spending time with my family and friends.

I attended our ten year reunion, but cannot believe ten years have gone by so fast. I was happy to see everyone, but wish more people would have showed up.

During school, I was involved with the Band of Blue, the National Honor Society, and was a teacher cadet. I enjoyed being a teacher's assistant/helper. My favorite part about being a senior was being able to leave school early to go to work. Looking back now, I wish I would have stayed at school and left work alone. It was nice back then not having any responsibilities and bills to pay.

I enjoyed Pep Rallies and spirit week. I miss all the friends I made and some of the teachers who made a difference in my life.
