School Story:
7th & 8th grade basketball 1965-1966 had one loss to the Warren Lightning 5 & went on to finish the year beating Huntington Township in the county tourney. Chuck Wolford (coach of Huntington Township) broke his clip board on the gym floor and at half time we had a lead and coach Richard Long told us how proud he was and what ever the out-come how proud he would still be. By the way the game we lost to the Warren Lightning 5, Tom Holmes had the worst game ever and after a foul called he threw the basketball to the floor and it bounced clear to the ceiling. Tom fouled out and as we fail apart I think looking back coach Long let the game finish and used this as a learning experience. The next year 1966-1967 we had 2 losses and that was to Central. In my 7th and 8th grade year Jefferson Junior High had 3 losses. Not bad and good memories.
