Paul Wynnemer

Rites Saturday for Paul A. Wynnemer

Paul Wynnemer, 16, son of Mr. and Mrs. Iver Wynnemer, 806 3rd Ave. N.E., died at 1 p.m. Thursday at the University of Minnesota hospital.  Ill since birth, Paul had underwent the renowned “open heart” surgery on Wednesday.

Funeral services will be held from the St. Paul Lutheran church, Saturday, at 2 p. m.  The Rev. E. H. Eifert will officiate, and the interment will be in Woodville cemetery.

While not all casketbearers have been contacted yet, it is thought they will be the persons who donated blood for Paul.

Paul Arthur Wynnemer was born in Waseca January 16, 1945, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Iver Wynnemer (Annette Anderson).  Mr. Wynnemer is a Waseca councilman.  At the time of his death he was a freshman* at Central high school.

Surviving are his parents, who operate the Wynnemer Woodworking Co., one brother, John 10, one sister, Mary 13, his paternal grandmother, Mrs. Rose Wynnemer, Waseca, and maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. H. A. Anderson, Otisco.

Peterson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

*Note: When class of 1963 went into 7th grade, Paul was held back by his physical condition.

Paul Arthur Wynnemer 1945-1961

Paul Arthur Wynnemer was born in Waseca County on Jan. 16, 1945 to Annette (Anderson) and Iver Paul Wynnemer. Paul had a brother, John, and a sister, Mary. He died on Jan. 19, 1961 after open heart surgury and is buried in Woodville Cemetery.
