
Betty Wick was in our class in 10th grade.
Elizabeth L. Fuhs was born December 18, 1945 in Janesville, Minnesota. She passed away May 17, 2008 at Erick, Oklahoma at the age of 62 years, 4 months and 29 days.
Betty grew up in Minnesota. She graduated from New Richland Hartland High School and continued her education at Albert Lea Technical School where she studied acccounting. She married David Spooner and 3 children were born to this marriage. She met David Fuhs and they lived in Colorado Springs for several years before moving to Oklahoma where they purchased an optical shop in Del City. They later moved to Erick, OK in February of 2005 and in June 2005 they opened their business, The Branding Iron Saloon.
She was preceded in death by her parents and 3 brothers.
She is survived by her husband, Dave, of the home; 3 children, Rodney Spooner, Heartland, MN, Leann Brown, Lake Crystal, MN and Jason Spooner, Erick, OK; 3 step children, Kevin Fuhs, Virginia Beach, VA, Dawn Bollinger, Minneapolis, MN and Tammy Aldridge, Minneapolis, MN; 20 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, 2 brothers, Greg Wick, Waseca, MN and Allen Wick, St. Peter, MN; 5 sisters, Corrine Lenort, Blooming Prairie, MN, Karel Bergo, Northwood, IA, Melissa Wick, Lawrence, KS, Nancy Wick, Janesville, MN, Janice Peterson, Waseca, MN;1 brother-in-law, Dick Fuhs and wife, Sandy, Parker, SD and a host of other relatives and friends.
