I'll do some digging and see if I can get a name and phone number or website for you. Let you know as soon as I get the info. Thanks Lisa

Hello all! Love reading the posts. I think first we need a poll to pick the date of the reunion, then we can find out if the place or places we want to have the reunion is available on those dates and go from there. Just a suggestion. I know for Howie, he probably would be the most limited on when he could make it. Christy, web master, do you think you can put something up for the date? Once we have that, I think everything else will fall into place. I'm getting excited to see all of you! Lifes good!

Should I be offended? I thought I was the webmaster? Dang, oh well, I'm still the master of my couch!!! You can't have it!!!

Hello everyone! I am in fact not the webmaster. Scott actually gave me access so that I could help him out. Let me just say that I would love to see everyone. I really think our class officers need to take the lead in organizing the class reunion. My husband had his class reunion a few years back and they used this same website to reconnect with classmates. When I shared this site with Scott he had it organized very quickly. He just simply gave me access to help him.
So having said that--I did dig out our class composite and here are our class officers:
Amy Smith, President
Brade Tate, Vice President
Carla Williams, Secretary
Scott Fields, Treasurer
Please do not hesitate to contact me to help. I will leave it to our class officers to organize. Hope to see you all soon!

You can't quit Christy! I was just joking, I promise!!! Please don't think that I was upset by that. Trust me, I have VERY thick skin! Not to mention the fact that there wasn't even anything for me to get upset about.

I would love to see everyone and I am happy to do what I can; however, I can't be the one to take the lead. I am super busy at work. We are in the middle of setting up a new computer system, training 116 Managers how to use it and opening more cafes through the summer. I don't even have free time for my husband.

Amy and Brad, what are your thoughts on the reunion? Can you email me please? cdw72@live.com

OK OK, I see what is going on here. I will take the lead on all of this. No more polls, no more opinions I will tell everyone what is going to happen and when and where.

Event: Southwest High class of 1990 Reunion

When: July 6, 7, 8, 2010

Where: Osan Air Base Republic of Korea

Travel: Everyone will be required to make their own arrangements from the U.S. to Incheon Intenational Airport. I will make arrangements for busses from there to base.

Lodging: This event is set to occur 3 days prior to a base exercise, so there will be tents and cots for around 300 personnel set up. Just keep your areas clean for when the Marines arrive. (they are big babies about moving into trashy facilities)

Rations: I will make arrangements with base supply to receive 1 pallet of MRE's. This will provide a variety of food options as you will be authorized to swap if you do not like what you are issued. (I do not recommend the omelete)

Activies: Our mornings will start with PT at 0500. This will include 3 mile runs and strength training. The sessions will last between 1.5 and 2 hours.

Following PT everyone will be allowed 20 minutes to shower, dress and square away their gear and cots.

Next we will form up to be issued your MREs for the day. Each person will be issued 3, so you may want to have a backpack or something. We will have morning meal until 0830.

After morning meal we will move in mass from tent city to the the supply warehouse. In making arrangements for the meals, I will likely have to agree to assisting with storage and issue in some reorginization activities.

Upon completion of our commitments we will be allowed to enjoy our second meal of the day outside in the supply compound.

Following our second meal we will be allowed to move at our own pace to the range. On the first day we will receive safety briefings and training on the M-4 and M-249. Note* Do not fall asleep in class.
The class will run until 1700.

After class we will move in mass back to tent city. We will then have last meal of the day and be authorized to socialize until 1930. At 1930 shower time starts. For those who do not know, showering in a tent city requires conservation. You will have 3 minutes to complete your shower. 1 minute to get wet, 1 minute to wash and 1 minute to rinse. Note* turn the water off during your minute of wash time.
It will then be time to field day the area and prepare for lights out.
I reccomend that you go to sleep as quickly as possible at lights out as we will be doing it all again the next day.

Exceptions to activities: the second day we will b getting CQM training at the range. It takes about the same amount of time. Then, on the third day we will be doing live fire training.

You may have noticed I did not mention anything about drinking, that is because GO1 goes into effect the week rior to the execrises and no drinking is allowed.

I look forward to seeing everyone.

I think I liked it better when Scott was calling all the shots, no offense Howard, but that all sounds pretty tough training, a 3 minute shower, not to mention tent sleeping.....take care across the pond Lisa

Point of order Howie. Due to the fact that I have done my time in a foreign poopshoot, I believe I should be exempt from the activities described. That being said, I would be willing to reconsider if, and only if, you can arrange to have my back repaired AND ensure I am re-issued the SAME .50 I had the first time in the desert. They're all supposed to be the same, but I had Fergie tuned in to the sweetspot. I will not quibble over posting as I have no particular interest in going back to the same fob unless they let me glass the village just outside the wire. However, if I AM forced to participate in your events, I have only one thing to say. It sounds like fun, but you can shove the mre's in your afterburner! P.S. If you are able to locate the three Air Force nurses that took care of me for that week in Ballad, please invite them. I owe them a debt of gratitude!

Maybe we could start with a date....then we can go from there. We should probably avoid holiday weekends. June or July would be good. Any ideas????? Let's get this going. Whatdaya say.

I have to agree. So there!

I have an idea...no, it's gone. Wait....nope, nothin. Dang, I thought I had it for a minute there, but then I remembered that I had forgotten.

Carla Williams (Sutliff)

I agree with Karen. Let's get a date set. How about our out-of-towners? Is anyone planning a trip home this summer? Do you have dates already planned?

02/24/10 08:30 PM #81

Karen Crim (Morris)

June is begining to look kinda of busy, anyone for July? How bout you Howie, when could you make it?

I am afraid I won't be able to. it would cost somewhere in the neighborhood of 8-10K for me to come home with my wife and kids. That is just a couple dollars more than I am willing to spend. besides, after seeing everyones pictures and some of the chatting and such, I don't know if it would be a good idea for all of us to get together. There is a potential for some sort of emotional spontanious combustion, creating an explosion of pent up feelings the size of which I am not personally prepared to deal with at this particular time in my life.

I might cry and I dont want to.

02/27/10 02:07 AM #84

Scott Fields

Lmao Howie!!! You Air Force guys...crying? I swear! We in the Army had a word for someone like you...a good guy. Ok, that's three words, I didn't say we could count.

I read somewhere that real men show their emotions..I think it was Cosmo or Glamour or something.

02/27/10 09:03 PM #86

Howard Watkins

Dang it! I read in MensHealth that real men don't read Cosmo or Glamour.

Now what?

03/01/10 05:21 PM #87

Scott Fields

Now you're pretending that the Air Force can read? Now that's rich!

Did anyone receive an email joke from me today? If so, I want to apologize to everyone who received it. I'm not sure why, but there was a malfunction in my email. I have two mailing groups. One called "family" and one called "reunion". I sent the email to my "family" address list but got some "delivery failure" notices from people on my "reunion" address list. I even double checked that the lists hadn't somehow cross contaminated each other and they haven't. Frankly, I'm at a loss as to what happened. I don't know if this has happened before either. If it has, I sincerely apologize. And, I'll apologize now for the possibility of it happening in the future. Now, I gotta go cook dinner before my wife gets home! Laters!

Scott Fields

Ok, now I really don't know what is going on. Today, my email sent a message out to everyone in my address book. The email had no subject line and contained a link to some other sight. PLEASE, DO NOT CLICK ON THIS LINK!!!! I have NO idea what it is. I had not even been on the computer today when this message was sent out! I didn't know anything about it until my wife texted me asking what the link was. I guess the safest thing to do is to delete all emails from me unopened unless it says something about the reunion in the subject line. Again, I have NO idea how this is happening or how long it has been going on. IF you have received emails from me in the past that did not have anything to do with the reunion, I sincerely apologize. I am trying my best to figure out what is going on.

Scott,
I remember reading about this sort of thing. It is suppossedly common for men our age.

03/04/10 04:10 AM #91

Howard Watkins

ok, I just read my response to Scott and see how a couple of you fellers could have miss understood what I was talking about. THAT problem is not all that common to guys our age. It is just Brad that has that problem. I think it is because of the long hair. It forces all of the blood flow to go up to your hair follicals, preventing it from flowing to...other areas. I know a feller that took one of those little pills; he said it worked for him. You may wanna try that.

Just tryin to help.
