Mark Jackson was a true gentleman !! His smile always lit up the room or whatever space that he occupied. When my boyfriend at that time refused to go to the Prom (because he was older and knew my teachers), I asked my good friend Mark to go with me. He escorted me to the Senior Prom and after-parties - and we had a wonderful evening, taking pictures, dancing and partying. No unpleasant scenes or heavy-handed sexual approaches from him.
I lost touch with him after graduation, but ran into him several times in DC during the years. When I introduced Mark to my ex-husband, he was smiling and full of praise for me.
So, I was surprised to find out that he is listed among our classmates that have passed away.
