Richard Coates, Jr.

When I first met Gordon at McKinley, he was ambitious, bright and a disposition that was polite and calm. And, I used to listen to him take on debates in science, mathematics and how technology will impact the world. Next, he was a leader and eschewed peer-pressure, and I considered him a dear friend and colleague. Finally, I also remembered when I invited him to join me and  friends on a road trip to visit Universities in the mid-west somewhere we might study collegiately; though, I believe he opt to stay near  family, still, we became pen pals. Nonetheless, I am truly saddened to learn of his death and my prayers are with him and  family. - God Bless.
