Russell could always make you smile! French class would never have been the same without him and he never got mad when we called him "Tater Row" because of his beard. He'll always have a special place in my heart.

I will never forget Russell....Russell was always in trouble in 9th grade;in Mr. Hodges' history class, Loria King made up a song "Russell's got to stay after school." We laughed, learned, and love each other.

I'll never forget seeing Russell in the bleachers at the ECU vs. Western Carolina gymnastic's meet at Western Carolina. It was so nice to see a familiar face cheering me on so far away. He was a great guy!!

Russell and I were were roommates at Western Carolina University for one year and prior to me entering the military. We thought we would stay out of trouble by going 400-miles from Washington...good times; miss him. Gone but not forgotten; RIP, man!

Russell was a great person.  I can see in sitting in class now with a smile.  I did not know.

Both Russell and I have last names that begin with "E" so, we sat next to each other in a lot of classes. We had a lot of fun joking around and cutting up over those years. All good memories...

I sat with Russell many days on our bus ride to and from school, we both shared a common taste for sarcastic MAD like humor and kept each other entertained with Eddie-poo and Witchy-poo jokes. We also shared a Lenny Bruce/Redd Foxx type of humor where nothing was held sacred and any race, religion or group could be gleefully roasted. I was greatly saddened when I learned of this death. I've always thought we needed more people that could just loosen up about all the useless pretentious elements in our world that keep everyone so uptight. The world was a funnier place while Russell was with us. I wonder what he is up to now.

Russell liked everybody & everybody liked Russell. He had such a great personality and was always laughing and joking around. You couldn't help but be in a good mood when you were around him. So sad that he left us so early. He was a genuine nice person. Miss you, dear friend.
