Russ passed away on September 4, 2010 in Yale New Haven Hospital from complications from pneunomia.    Russ has been battling esphagoal cancer for 2 years.   Among his many accomplishments, Russ served in the US Marine Corp following graduation, was wounded in battle and received the purple heart.  At the time of his death he was a real estate agent for William Raveis Realty.   He was an avid Yankees fan,  a Justice of the Peace, and recently the Grand Marshall for the Memorial Day Parade in Middlebury where he made his home. 

Russ is surved by his wife Ellen Pryde Delaney.  His two daughters Katherine Delaney Avcollie and Lindsay Pryde Aronheim.   Two granddaughters, Emma Pryde Avcollie and Grace Ellen Avcollie. 

Russ was also an active member of the Alumni Association where he helped locate many lost alumni.    His presence and sense of humor will be greatly missed at the meetings.
