Gregg passed away on May 4, 2016 at the age of 69 of cardiac arrest.   He was an active range officer at Chase Rifle and Pistol Range in Waterbury, supervising the range each Sunday morning and was also a member of the Connecticut Citizens Defense League.   He was chief executive officer of GFE Corp working in finance.
