Miguel passed away on August 17, 2009 at the age of 62.   He is survived by one sister, Ada Escobales, one nephew, Alfred Febbriello and his wife Kimberly, one niece Anita Escobales, three great-nephews and one great-niece.

John Smedes states that he knew Mickey for over fifty years.   Mickey served honorably with the US Marine Corps in Viet-Nam, and I was proud to sign him up at the Brooklyn Valley VFW Post when I was Commander.  Mickey will truly be missed by everyone he touched including where he worked, the Department of Labor, family, friends, and comrades alike.
