Katherine passed away on May 9, 2017 at the age of 67 as the results of an auto accident.   She attended the Univeristy of Connecticut and earned her masters from Fairfield University.  She taught elementary school (Chase School) grade 4 for 14 years, taught at St. Margaret McTernan and was a member of the Parents Advisory Board at Choate Rosemary Hall.  She owned a plant store in Middlebury, CT called Plantasia.   She was married to ESPN sportscaster Chris Berman.
