Joseph passed away suddenly on September 9, 2010 at the age of 62 in Waterbury.  He is survived by his wife Kristan (Friez) Lanoie.  His parents Paul and Irene Lanoie of Florida, son Jason and daughter Stephanie and six grandchildren.

He was a U.S. Army veteran, was owner of American Rental Centers in Waterbury, was a quality control inspector at Platt Bros.   He also served as secretary of the Credit Union at Platt Bros.   He was active in Boy Scouts, coached the softball team at Platt Bros.
