Marianne passed away on March 28, 2023 at Waterbury Hospital.   She opened her first luncheonette at the age of 21 called Happy Luncheonette.   She went on to operate may Restaurants in the Waterbury/Woodbury area.  She owned Somewhere Restaurant in the 1980's, Barsi's Restaurant and Marianne's Place both in Woodbury, Roberto Restaurant and Zia Cucina in Waterbury.

She also owned and operated Stylish Pets in Waterbury and Barsi's Kennels in Woodbury
