James passed away on September 9 2018 in Southbury, CT. James worked at the family Maple Hill Dairy before enlisting in the Army.  He joined the CT State Police in 1968 until he retired in 1984.  The balance of his years were spent as a state police fire marshall.  After retirement he worked as a fire marshall, zoning enforcement officer and inland wetlands officer for the town of Roxbury.  He was a life member and past president of the Mattatuck Fife and Drum Band, a director of Pine Grove Cememtary and a 55 yr member of King Solomon's Temple AF&AM, a Shriner and member of Dimaryp Court 66, Royal Order of Jesters.
