Gloria passed away on June 9, 2017 in Middlebury, CT.  After Wilby, Gloria got her BA in Psychology from the University of Hartford and an MBA in Health Care Administration from Rensallear Polytechnical Institute.  She was a RN at St. Mary's Hospital  and a nursing supervisor and then went on to teach at St Mary's School of Nursing.   She then took a staff development position at the hospital and advanced to Assistant Director of Nursing.  She was responsiblefor writing the first protocol for ICU and Critical Care Units.  She was responsible for teaching hospital physicians to use the first EKG's when introduced in the 1970's.  She also set up St.Mary's Heartmobile.  After retiring from St. Mary's she worked as a school nurse at the Waterbury State Street School for 10 years.
