Jim passed away on April 18, 2011 at the age of 57 in Norfolk, Virginia after a long battle with cancer. 

Jimmy was without a doubt on of the all time great athletes in Waterbury history. 

He was a three sport star in Wilby basketball, baseball, and football and an All-City, All NVL and All State player. 

Jimmy went on to sign a contract with the Atlanta Braves and played in their farm team for seven years.  

He came home to play in the Twi-Met League and the Waterbury Reds.
