Mr George Hadded passed away on February 14, 2023 at the age of 99 in Berlin CT. He began his teaching career at Merriman School, and retired from Wilby in 1992 as the Mathematics Dept. head. He continued his carrer at the Waterbury Adult Education program until his retirement at age 83. He also taught driver's education at Wilby.
I had Mr. Haddad as my home room teacher freshman year in 1968-69. I remember him as a no-nonsense teacher. I had Mr. WIse as my driving instructor on the road but I remember Mr. Haddad teaching classroom part ... was it 30 hours? Anyway, this was a very random occurrence for me to be checking the Wilby site and I'm very glad to see he led such a long and active life. May he rest in peace..
