Sophie passed away on August 17,2016 in Wolcott CT.    She graduated from Teachers College of CT (now CCSU) with a B.S. in elementary eduacation and a M.S. in reading at St Joseph's College.   She taught at Buck's Hill School for 35 years and later as a secretary at St. Pius X Church in Wolcott.  Sophie was a volunteer of the Red Cross Nurse's Aide at Waterbury Hospital for five years and the publicity chairan of the old Italy Heritage Foundation.
