Chuck Messina passed away on May 13, 2017 at the age of 82 in Waterbury, CT.   While at Wilby he excelled in football and baseball.    He joined the Waterbury Police Department in 1956 and retired in 1986 with the rank of Detective Sergeant.  He then worked for the State of Connecticut from 1986 to 1997 as a Support Enforcement Officer. He was an avid hunter, a member of the Waterbury Boy's and Girl's Club, and the Waterbury Police and Firefighters Retirement Assocation.
