Dorothy passed away on December 28, 2016 at the age of 85 in Litchfield, CT.   She was the former financial director and business manager of Rumsey Hall School in Washington, CT.  She joined the staff two weeks after graduating with honors from Wilby as a secretary and dorm mistress.  Later to be on the board of trestees.   Rumsey Hall is honoring Dorothy's 45 year career by naming it brand new administration building after her.   For many years she superheaded a mission to deliver food to needy families and provide stuffed animals to children in hospitals, orphanages and homeless shelters across the country and to storm and war ravaged countries around the world.  She was awarded the Citizen of the Year in 2006 by the Litchfield Grange.
