Lawrence passed away on March 29, 2016 at the age of 87 in Waterbury CT.   He served in the Army and received the WWII Victory Medal.  

He worked as a teacher and administrator at Wolcott High School and Kaynor Tech.  He was the President of the Waterbury Board of Education, and the Waterbury Board of Alderman, Commissioner of the Board of  Finance, Board of Welfare, The Waterbury Housing Authority, Board of Directors for New Opportunities of Waterbury, the City of Waterbury Charter Revision and advisor to the State Departent of Eduction.
