Moe passed away on August 21, 2017 at the age of 91 in Waterbury CT.   He was employed by Scovill Mfg Co. for 10 years.  In 1955 he opened Moe's Smoke Shop in the North Square of Waterbury.  In 1960 he began his restaurant career opening up Park Restaurant on Davis St in Oakville.   In 1965 he opened the 1249 West Restaurant which became a landmark in the city.  He received recognition from Connecticut Magazine claiming 1249 Restaurant may be te Best Classic Italian Restaurant in the state.
