William passed away on March 7 in Vero Beach, Florida.    William enlisted in the US Navy after graduating from Wilby.   After the war, he returned to Waterbury and began a long career in the City of Waterbury in the Park Department. and then 30 years with the Waterbury Fire Department.

He rose through the ranks including Fire Marshall and retiring as a Battalion Chief.
