Sal passed away on July 26, 2017 at the age of 92 in Redding CT.  He received his master's degree in economics from UConn in 1951 and his juris doctor in 1954 from University of CT. School of Law.  He practiced law for 20 years in Torrington and Waterbury before becoming a professor of business law at Naugatuck Valley Community College.
