Richard passed away on April 20, 2014 in Woodbury, CT   While a student at Wilby he was captain of the 1940 football team as an all city single wing quarterback and president of the class of 1941.  

He also served in the U.S. Marine Corps during WWII and worked for more than 40 years for the Southern New England Telephone Company.

He coached little league in Woodbury in the 1950's and early 1960's.   He was a member of the literary board.
