Madeline passed away on September 14, 2010 at the age of 88 in Waterbury, CT.   She is survived by her three daughters, Patricia (Cullinan) Dawson (a former Wilby teacher), Maryellen Hogrefe, and Judy Hurlbut.  Six grandchildren.   She was the widow of Thomas Cullinan. 

Madeline was an active member of the Chase School PTA and was one of the founders of the Chase School Library, was later a librarian at the Waterbury Hospital School of Nursing.
