Fredrick passed away on January 22, 2013 at the age of 96 in Waterbury, CT

While at Wilby, he was an outstanding athlete in baseball, basketball, and football.

He joined the Waterbury Police Department in 1940 and was appointed sergeant in 1951 and lieutenant in 1955.    In 1959 he was appointed deputy superintendent and nine years later was promoted to superintendent until he retired in 1985. 

After his retirement he served on the State of Connecticut Labor Department Mediation/Arbitration Board.
