Russell Fons

I met my wife, Sue, on the Internet. We talked on the phone and the computer every day for 3 weeks before meeting in person. We became best friends during that time and then we met in person. There was an instant connection and we immediately fell in love. Sue moved to Wausau within a month after us meeting and we were married a year later. Three years into our marriage we found out we were going to be grandparents and moved to Sue's hometown of Springfield to be near her family.
My wife has been employed with Blue Cross Blue Shield of IL for 4 1/2 years and is a Customer Advocate II. My stepdaughter Hollie is a homemaker and supporting her husband who is in the US Air Force stationed at McChord Air Force Base in Tacoma, WA; my stepdaughter Amy works for the IL Department of Transportation Traffic Safety Division here in Springfield; and my stepdaughter Amanda is a Team Leader for SPARC here in Springfield and has two college degrees - one in Social and Criminal Justice and one in Law Enforcement.
I would just like to add that I love my life. I love my job as a Liquor Manager; I love my wife; I love my stepdaughters and all of my grandchildren. There is never a dull moment and I wouldn't have it any other way.
