20th Reunion UPDATED

Hello Class of 1992.  As of today, Sept. 18th , I have received confirmation and payments for the reunion from 16 people.  Thank you!  Although due to the fact that we are drastically below a number that I have budgeted for there is a need to modify the reunion.   Please let me reassure you that all other events are as planned. The football game, the picnic, the tours of the old and new high school remains the same.  The only event that changes is Saturday evening.  This event will now take place at the Fairfield inn in conjunction with the class of ’91.  Also, the cost of this event is $23 up until Sept 28th and $28 at the door.  (Yes, it is less than our previously planned event).   The first reason for this is there is no dinner, simply appetizers and beer with a DJ and photo booth for entertainment.  There is a cash bar available. Secondly, the planner of the ’91 reunion, Stephanie Sliwicki Norton, budgeted for a larger group.  Given these factors I found that to keep the reunion as a celebration and to minimize disruption of plans, combining efforts seems to be the way to go.  For those of you that have already paid I will email each of you individually as to what you want to do.  For those of you that have not paid yet you can still send me the money for this event.  We would like to have a final count for numbers on Sept. 28th.  Included in this post is detailed information about the weekend.  Thank you for your understanding and I am excited to see you all!

October 5-6, 2012 Reunion Weekend

 

Friday, October 5th

7:00 PM - Homecoming game vs. Appleton East at Thom Field (families included, tickets are $3 each, payable at the gate)

 

Saturday, October 6th

10:30 AM - Tour of new Wausau East (meet in front of school at the flag pole)

 

11:00 AM - Tour of old Wausau East HS

 

11:30 AM - Potluck lunch at Marathon Park’s Big Kitchen (families are welcome for the tours and lunch, the class of ’91 is also invited)

 

8:00 PM - Party at the Fairfield Inn in Weston (adults only, cost is $23 per person which includes hors d’oeuvres, beer, music and photo booth)

 

***The Fairfield has reserved a block of rooms for us for the weekend.  The rooms are either 1 king or 2 queen guest rooms with a rate of $82 per night. You can make your reservation by calling (715) 241-8400.   Please tell them that it is for the Wausau East Reunion block to get the discounted rate.  You can also check out their website:  www.marriott.com/cwafi but will need to call to get the block rate.  The block will be held until September 21st and more rooms will be added as needed.
