Do you want to make a weekend reunion with something on Friday night, activities during the day on Saturday and a dinner party Sat night?

Or would you just rather have a dinner party on Sat night?

Voice your opinion.

I think having an event on friday and saturday is a good idea versus just saturday. It would make coming to the reunion worth while. A lot of people don't stay in waycross anymore so therefore, I dont think they will pay for plane tickets back home just for one day of fun

We could do a little mixer on Friday night where everyone can just kind of check-in greet each other etc. I do agree that Saturday night should be the main focus.

Kimberly Fields Morgan has already spoken to KDs about a dinner type function for Saturday night.

Where would you like to do a meet & greet for Friday night? I know the class of 99 had theirs at one of the mexican restaurants. Another class had theirs at Captain Joes. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

I think we will do a picnic type event on Saturday, so that classmates can show off their families (Those that have kids). Can you think of anyone who has enough land to hold this at their house or should we just do it at Laura Walker?

This is your reunion! Help me plan it!

My husband had a reunion out here in Utah last year and they had a park picnic where everyone could just mingle on Saturday afternoon with their kids and then they had a Dinner/Dancing event at a social hall that night where everyone had to pay something to help cover the cost.

I don't like the idea of going somewhere besides Waycross, that's the whole point of the reunion isn't it, to go back where we went to school? Although I don't live in Waycross anymore, I do have family there that I can stay with and if the reunion were somewhere else I would have to drive more after a long flight and find another place to stay if it were a 2 day event.

I realize it's tough for me to respond with helpful comments since I haven't lived and or visited long term in Waycross since graduation. However a couple of things I would like to mention in the planning scheme: 1. It should be in Waycross (as boring as it may be). 2. something on friday and saturday would certainly encourage those of us who live far away to spend the money and make the effort to come. 3. I would suggest more ideas like picnics or catered meal at larger venues if possible because of the shear volume of us and the opportunity to actually be able to talk and hang out. Is it possible someone has a farm we could have a party of sorts on ? I feel certain that we could pool the resources of those that are able to come and create a great spread and have some fun of our own making.
