Mr. Chester E. "Bubba" Boyd, Jr., 30, died suddenly Friday morning (August 12, 2011).

He was born in Homerville, but he has lived most of his life in Waycross. He was a 2000 graduate of Ware County High School and a member of Swamp Road Baptist Church several years ago. He was formerly employed by Musgrove Logging as a skidder operator.

Survivors include one daughter, Rebecca Hendrix of Blackshear; his parents, Chester E. Boyd, Sr. and Andrea Lynn Petty Boyd of Waycross; one brother, Kelly Andrew Boyd of Waycross; two nieces and one nephew, Lainy, Emma and Owen Boyd; maternal grandparents, Glenda and Drew Petty of Naylor; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

A graveside service will be held 10 a.m. Monday (August 15, 2011) at Musgrove Cemetery in Millwood. The family will receive friends 2 until 4 p.m. Sunday at Music Funeral Home.
