I worked in the field of edcuation for over 30 years. Additonally, my career took me to Battle Creek Michigan where I worked for the W.K. Kellogg Foundation. I wa a Program Office and Associate Director of the National Kellogg Fellowship Program. Since retiring on January 1, 2010 from the NC Community College System Office, I have published a book about the life of my grandmother, " Reflections on a Phenomenal Mama:Rebecca". My mother died when I was two years old and her mother became my mother.
My life is very busy serving on several university and civic boards. Travel, reading and fitness activities allow me to have a well balanced life. I have been fortunate enough to travel to every continent Antarctica.
