After Tuscola I went to Mount Olive Junior College in Mount Olive, NC home of Mount Olive Pickles. I came back to Waynesville and married my wife Jackie and started going to
Fruitland Baptist Bible Instute in Hendersonville, NC. After Fruitland we moved to Ledger, NC were I pastored Ledger Baptist Church for three years. While I was at Ledger I went to Mars Hill College and earned a BA degree in religion. I moved from Ledger in 1975 and went to Hankins Baptist Church in Marion, NC as Worship Pastor which was a non paying position so I went to work for Marimont Furniture as Plant Engineer and worked there till 1987. We then moved to Salisbury, NC and I worked for Carter Inds. for two years as Product Development Manager. Then in December of 1989 I came to work for now Studio Q Furniture in Hickory, NC as Plant Manager and still work there, we have two boys and two grandchildren and belong to Highland Baptist Church, I sing in the chior.
