ANNOUNCEMENTS

A journal entry from Beth Preston, beloved wife of Ted Preston:

November 17, 2018

Ted left us today with his trademark smile on his face, finally looking relaxed, at peace and free of pain after fighting so hard for so long to beat his disease. He chose a beautiful, sunny day with fresh snow covering the ground – his favorite kind. We are so grateful for the Care Dimensions Hospice House in Lincoln, where Ted spent his last week. We all took great comfort in the peaceful setting and caring staff.

We are humbled by the outpouring of love, prayers and support – thank you.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather for Visiting Hours at Costello Funeral Home on Friday, November 23, from 4-8PM. A Funeral Mass will be held in St. Mary’s Church on Saturday, November 24th at 10AM. Burial is private.

The services for our dear friend Errol Brown were held:
Saturday, November 14, 2015, 10:00 am
Ebenezer Baptist Church
157 West Springfield St.
Boston, MA

Dear Classmates and Friends,

It is with sadness in our hearts to report that our beloved classmate, Errol Brown, passed away on Saturday, November 7th, 2015, after a brave, 5 year battle with cancer. He was an amazing friend and classmate and words can't express how much we miss him. We honored Errol with a get-together November 15th at Crossroads in Boston, shared stories and gave each other hugs to bring solace and gain strength. Errol loved all sports, so watching the Pats together that day was special. He attended Wellesley from grades 1-12, then went on to Howard University in Washington, D.C. Errol is survived by his dad, George, and his brothers, Tommy and Larry. We're awaiting details on if there will be a certain charity we can donate to and/or we may, as a class, donate a brick in his memory to the new WHS track and field. We will post the details once they're available. Please keep Errol’s family in your thoughts and prayers, and embrace your loved ones extra tightly today. Please spread the word.

With Love,
Monique, Corinne, Gina and Kristen

We have 6, '88 cds left over from our 20th Reunion. Email Kristen with your address if you want one - first come, first serve. Also, a silk scarf was left at The Greatest Bar - the owner should contact Kristen to have it returned.

OH, WHAT A NIGHT!
"Amazing" is the one word that comes to mind after experiencing our 20th reunion with all of you. Over 150 classmates from all over the country made an incredible effort to come and celebrate our monumental reunion.  There was great energy and excitement thoughtout the night and we ended up paying the DJ extra to stay until 2am. The dance floor was packed and at least 50+ classmates partied until they literally had to kick us out at 2:15am. Way too much fun! Many of you mentioned last night that you don't want to wait another 5 years to get together so we will consider planning a casual annual event or two to stay connected. Whether you stay in touch on a regular basis with friends from our class or had a chance to reconnect with classmates last night, one thing is for sure, there is a special bond we all share, even after 20 years. The Wellesley88 website will be alive and kicking for many years to come, so please update your profiles, find missing classmates and have them join the site and above all, stay in touch!

A special thanks to all classmates who took part of the Memorial Walk for our classmates, Greg and Scott Miller. Sincere thanks to Rob Zins for organizing this successful fundraising event.

Sherri Barnicle Gates and her husband, Russell, organized a wonderful family outing on Sunday at Carlson Orchard. Everyone enjoyed the wagon rides, apple picking and delicious apple crisp. Thank you!

We need your help!!! Do you have any old photos tucked away from our high school days that can be scanned and shared with your classmates? The more the better, so if you have any old photos from either our high school days or from previous reunions please email me and we will post the photos to the website and show all the pictures during our 20th Reunion event. We thought this would be a fun task and get classmates reminiscing about good 'ole times at WHS ! Don't have any means to scan your photos?  Please contact me and we'll be glad to scan them for you and return them promptly. Thanks, everyone !

Hey Folks:

If you have friends in other classes who went to high school with us, but didn't graduate with us (transfer students or different years of graduation) : please let us know if you recommend that they join our site, especially if you think our other classmates will want to be in touch with them.

Your friends and family can make a class web site, too: this site was set up with the help of the Class Creator system. Anyone can use it. Use this link to get started: www.classcreator.com/index.cfm?M=M82307

Know of any missing WHS Class of 1988 classmates? Use the email box at the bottom right of the home page to send an invite to our site.
