Patty and I rode our horses together at the Appleatchee. She owned a full blooded Arabian sorrel colored animal and I can still recall thinking how her beautiful horse matched Patty's own delicate beauty. Patty and I were good friends and were nearly neighbors, but my parents decided on a different location for a house. I visited her at the Haug cabin on Lake Chelan, driving our boat up to see her. Patty was always cheerful and smiling. Her parents were wonderful people, too. Dr. Haug delivered my husband!
