Gloria Jean Gerner Becker

My husband and I both retired in Spring/Summer of 2007. We are the very proud grandparents of Nora Grace Stanic who was born June 26, 2008 and Gray Henry Stanic born July 30, 2010, Lilah Rose Becker who was born July 24, 2011. And her sister Everly Lillian Becker born November 14, 2013. They truly are the loves of my life!
We enjoy travel and have been to Ireland, Scotland, England, Wales, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Italy, Dominican Republic, Poland, Austria, Hungry, Slovakia, Czech Republic and many areas of Mexico. My sister Deb and I traveled to Tanzania, Africa June/July, 2010 and again September 2013. What an eye opening experience.... their world is a far different place
8,000 miles away!! While there we lived with a teachers family. We had no running water, no electic, or toilet!!! Ate spinach, bananas, rice and peanuts for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I have made some good friends there who I keep in contact with on a regular basis. Some of these friends will be coming to the US this summer, 2015. I am thrilled to be able to see them in person again.
In September 2013,my husband and I cruised through the Panama Canal. It was our first cruise type trip. We loved the six Port of Calls in Central and South America. In May 2014 my sister Deb and I made our second pilgrimage to Isreal. In Sept 2014 my husband and I traveled to Croatia/Dubrovnik/Montenegro. In January 2015 Deb n I spent two weeks in Costa Rica ziplining over the top of the jungle, white water rafting, and enjoying the beauty of that gorgeous country. My husband and I will take our usual Texas/Florida trip to visit friends in March. In April I will joint AMI Travel for a "LutherLand trip" to Germany, Poland and Prague. In June my Japanese friend and I are going to her homeland in Japan. October is our Route 66 Corvette tripjwith my cousin and his wife. In Sept/October 2015 Deb and I will spend a month in China. This is a busy travel year!! Other future plans are Brazil, Australia, Dubai, Alaska.... any place my husband or sister are ready to visit with me. In between longer, larger trips, Deb and I get to NYC frequently to take in some Broadway Plays and visit new restaurants.
When asked what is next on my bucket list I reply…. any place a plane flies, a boat sails, or a car/motor coach travels!!

Over the past recent years have enjoyed getting together with the "McLane Girls:... Carol Evans, Carol Pederson, Sandi Zimmerman, and Faith Zeigler, Margo Burkhardt, n Betty Rose . Good times, girls!!! Many more to come??

While in high school, played in the band... worked at the theatre and Gehls office.
