After a phone call that my mom was in need of a little family support, I returned to the states in December of 2010. Although I had hoped to return to my adopted country, I purchased a home in Fort Myers to stay nearby and care for her. She passed in 2021, during Covid.
South Florida is an amazing place to live. Beaches, boating, fishing, golf. 270+ days of sunshine. And, if food is your thing, OMG.
I've got a nice house, a small pleasure boat and spend as much time as possible on the water. But, with few years remaining, I'm asking myself, what's next. I miss the motorhome and the lifestyle it affords. Time will tell.

After school I moved to the gulf coast of Texas. I started a contracting business. Following this I began working for a home improvement chain as a corporate trainer. This involved alot of traveling and frequent relocations, so... no, I never married. I began day trading in the late nineties. In the spring of '08, just before the market collapse, I sold my property on Lake Wissota, the motorhome, and vacationed in Costa Rica where I fell in love with the country and it's people.
