The summer before Melody left us, I spent a weekend camping out with her a two other dear friends at Wisconsin Dells. Melody and I spent most of the night talking and looking up at the stars. Now I can look up at the stars and remember her. She was a star. Love you, miss you...Melody.
It's heart-breaking that there's anybody on this link! I miss Mel. We were best friends for several years, then we "broke up" over something stupid, I'm sure (I can't even remember). There was this one time (at band camp?) when we decided she needed a new hair-do. So I cut her hair in her bathroom. It was shoulder-length and I cut it to about her ears. It was actually pretty cute. But when her mom saw it, all she could say was, "I am NOT a happy camper, Melody!" And then there was that time we all went to prom. We walked in and basically had to turn right around and leave. Someone got sick... I think Mel? But we all went back to Melody's house and had way more fun, anyways. When she died, I was tormented that I would never get another chance to fix things with her. She was so funny and I learned a lot from her.
