Kristen Nicholson Cass

I attended Rend Lake College on a softball scholarship for 2 years. I then attended SIU-C. While at SIU I began working in a school-age program at a child care center in Marion. The opportunity opened up to build a center in WF (2 blks behind SUBWAY). My older sister and I opened our center in 1998. I have had the priviledge of meeting several children of former classmates. I met my husband in 1997 and we married in August 2000. We have a daughter, Makane (4 years old) and our son, Cannon, was born June 24, 2008. My husband is the Principal at Elverado H.S. We currently live in WF.

Wow, I can't believe all the Senior pictures with the BIG HAIR. What were we thinking? It reminds me of the day that me, Kellie and Kristy (Perry) pulled up on B.S. and then before we could get out of the car talked ourselves into skipping that day because it was too windy. Guess we didn't want to mess the hair up. Some other favorite memories: The ghost in Stacy's (Summers) "Mega Vega", 4 great years of softball, playing on the "Sweet 16" basketball team my Senior Year, the Centralia game when Joy (Williams) accidentally brought 2 left shoes and was so scared to tell Coach that she was just going to try and wear them that way, geometry class with Stritzel when A.J. (Brown) and Kristy (Perry) were goofing off and A.J. busted her front tooth out on the desk and of course as Kristy (Perry) wrote in my Senior yearbook "Never forget Health class with Mr. Walsh". Just a few of my favorites!!!
Thought of another one that Kellie and I were talking about tonight. Our freshman year when me, Kellie and Angie (Watson) were maybe 15 years old (possibly still 14) and we cruised all over town in the Purdue Vista Cruiser. I also remember how Angie would floor it if someone pulled out in front of her and then slam her brakes on when we got up on their bumper. How did we never get caught?
