After high school, I attended a small private Christian college in Elgin, Illinois. I graduated with a degree in social psych and only use that on my children.
After graduating from college, I worked for the Chicago Area FCA organization and lived in Carol Stream, IL. After a couple of years, I returned to Wisconsin and worked for an advertising firm in Brookfield and lived with my best friend, Ellen Sheahan in West Allis. Those were good times.
In 1984, I married my college sweetheart and moved to Columbus, Ohio. My husband was a full time christian musician so we spent the next 16 years in Columbus and on the road. We were fortunate enough to travel all over the United States and see most of the country. During that time, we had four children and decided to homeschool. This was a great adventure!
In April, 2000, my husband took a job as the Pastor of Worship and Media at the First Baptist Church of Fresno, CA. We have been living here for the past eight years and enjoying every minute. We are about an hour and a half from Yosemite and about three hours from the beach.
My children are in public school and are all very involved in the musical programs. They participate in the school band and choirs. It's been interesting to "experience" high school all over again, and again, and again.
I keep busy with a part time job in accounting and tax preparation. I am also very involved in children's ministry at our church. I enjoy working with children and it has been very rewarding.
Several years ago, my husband and I were given the opportunity to go on a mission trip to a medical clinic in Jos, Nigeria to work with AIDS patients. That was a memorable experience.
