Hilda Harper

After graduation, I attended Mississippi State University. After four years I left, without a degree, and headed to Jackson, MS. I was there for two years and I left Jackson with my handsome, now 23 year old son, Stephen. I moved to Memphis and I have been here for 23 years. I eventually went back to school and I graduated from the University of Memphis with a degree in Business Administration. I have been with Shelby County Government for 20 years.

I enjoy traveling and writing. I am an events planner/coordinator. I plan birthday parties, retirement parties, and coordinate weddings. I am active in my church writing plays and working with youth.

Of course there is so much more that has happened to me between 1980 and now. I have experienced loss of loved ones, unconditional love, living life to the fullest, and some heartaches and breaks! But now, I can't complain about anything.

I really don't have a favorite school story or a funny memory. I just remember the good times we would have at school and events - just hanging out and being around each other. Our Senior Trip was a good time - wild - but good.
