LORI ELMER KOPASZ

I graduated from UCLA in 1993 and moved to Utah to be a ski bum for one season at Alta ski resort. That one season, turned into 5 seasons of living, working, and skiing at Alta. Eventually I decided I needed to get a "real" job, so I went back to school and got a Masters of Education in the field of Special Education from the University of Utah. I have been working at Highland H.S. in Salt Lake City since 2000. I am also teaching some classes at the University of Utah for future special education teachers. I got married in 1998 to my wonderful husband, Dave, and we have one great child - Zach. We love to ski, hike, and bike in the great Wasatch mountains of Utah - but I sure do miss the ocean...We try to get to California at least once a year so I can get my beach and ocean "fix".

I loved all of my years at LaQuinta...since I moved to L.A. right after graduation, and then to Utah in 1993, I haven't kept in touch with anyone...but I loved all of the friends I met in student government, drama, cheerleading, and girl's league. LaQuinta was a great school and its fun to remember those years, its hard to believe it was 20 years ago.
