Gina Carvelli Damato

Since Graduation....College, Worked for MetLife for 6 years and have been with Travelers Bond for over 11 years. I work with a bunch of guys (go figure! Always got along better w/guys than girls) I get to work with some big contractors in the area and have gone on some pretty cool site visits. Who thought I would wind up underwriting and looking at financial statements all day (I kinda cheated on my Accounting Final Jr. Year). Married for 14 years this May. Lived in Yorkville, IL for the last 20 years and still love it. There is actually more than cows and corn out here now. I have lived here longer than in Westmont, so it feels like 2 different lifes. I have 2 wonderful crazy kids and my son is just like me, but smarter. My daughter doesn't take b/s from anyone and I love her for it. We also have our first kid Rocky (a 12 yr old Jack Russell Terrier), plus 3 fish that somehow I wind up taking care of. I still spend tons of time with my parents & my mom is still my best friend. I wasn't one for being the rebellious teen. Vacations - prekids: Vegas; Mexico, post-kids: DisneyWorld, AZ & more DisneyWorld! Won a contest & attended and walked the red carpet at the 2004 Grammy Awards in L.A. Started my own jewelry design business and it is starting to really pick-up. SamiJo Creations is the name of my business and I design and create crystal & silver jewelry. Sticking to craft fairs and word-of-mouth until my website gets up & running. I am also currently writing a serious of tween books and am shopping around for publishing company. In my spare time(ha-ha) I feed my Harry Potter & Twilight addiction or you can find my watching DWTS or Lost. Sorry I cannot go into my Italian mafia connections, but lets just say that HBO did a wonderful job portraying my family's life!

Being able to only go to Wendy's, Taco Bell or DQ for lunch, everything else was too far.

Surviving on tator tots & lemonade for lunch for almost a year.

I thought I would marry one of the 2 Corey's and be the next Debbie Gibson (oh, well)

I went to a NKOTB Concert in 89 and again in 09.(Yes I am a nerd, but I made Melisa go too!)

Doing donuts in the snow in the H.S. Parking lot in my '73 Mercury Comet.

Almost tipping the school bus after winning the BB Game Freshman year that meant we would go downstate.

Planning kick-the-can w/Tom, Paul & Kris at the school bus corner.

I remember ALL the trouble and fun Pam & me had & her getting her nose broke in the gym by a baseball.

I was very naive & nice back in H.S....not so much now.

My senior year my homecoming date broke his leg in the game, but we still danced.

It rained EVERY Homecoming.

My dad pulled our class float all 4 years, even though people were scared of him.

I remember calling Mr. Blackburn "Norm", and him calling me "Pasta".

I talked on the phone more than studied.

Got out of swimming class both years with a dr's note. I hated redoing my hair.

I remember using a can of Aqua Net a week.

I got grounded for spending the night at Chris A's party.

Doing "Light as a Feather" at Muffie's Bday party

Going Downstate w/Vicki & Clarisse and me all in the same hotel room and getting no sleep.

Doing spirit posters instead of my homework.

Having to go home, because I wore shorts to school. It was sooo hot in the school.

I remember the "incident" in jewelry making class...wonder if Tiffani does?

I cannot believe that I went to kindergarten with at least half of you.
