Lawrence Howell "Larry" Barr, 65, of Sunset Beach, died Saturday, Oct. 10, 2015, in Grand Strand Regional Medical Center, Myrtle Beach, S.C.
Born in Washington, D.C., on April 5, 1950, he was a son of the late Wilbur Lee and Janet Friel Barr. He was retired from the U.S. Treasury, Bureau of Engraving as a printing plate supervisor. Larry was a member of Seaside United Methodist Church.
Surviving are his wife of 42 years, Janice Christine Barr; two daughters, Terri Christine Gurganious and husband, Timothy Dan, of Buna, Texas, Heather Elizabeth Barr and fiancé, Tim Mckewn, of Los Angeles; a brother, William Barr and wife, Susan, of Wausau, Wis.; two grandchildren, Brayden Howell Gurganious and Brennah Christine Gurganious.
Memorial services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 14, in Seaside United Methodist Church.
