Peacefully on March 29, 2019, of Leisure World of Maryland. Mother of Matthew (Melissa) Heller and Marisa (Michael) Saucedo. Loving grandmother of Abigail, Avery, and Naomi. Preceded in death by her parents Hatsumi and Lucy Yamada and beloved husband Tom Shortell. A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 5, 2019 at 1 p.m. at the Leisure World Inter-Faith Chapel, 3680 S. Leisure World Blvd., Silver Spring, MD 20906. Interment will be private.
