Michelle Mount (Tarbutton)

Michelle Mount Tarbutton
A memorial service for Michelle Mount Tarbutton, 40, of Tyler, will be held on Monday, Jan. 18, 2010, at 2 p.m. at Green Acres Baptist Church Galilee Room with the Rev. Sherman Mayfield officiating. A private burial will be held prior to the service. Arrangements are under the direction of Stewart Family Funeral Home.

Michelle went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, whom she loved dearly, on Thursday, Jan. 14, 2010.

She was born Nov. 3, 1969, in Tyler to Robert L. and Anita Cobb Mount.

Mrs. Tarbutton was raised in Tyler and graduated from Whitehouse High School and Tyler Junior College with an associate degree in radiology technology. Michelle worked for ETMC as an X-ray technician and then as a CAT scan technician. She was a longtime member of Green Acres Baptist Church. Michelle enjoyed decorating for all the different seasons and spending time at the beach in Destin, Fla. Mostly, her passion was her children and their activities. Michelle had a tremendous heart for those who were going through cancer treatment as well. As a result of her treatment, a new ministry was started and has touched many lives: Green Acres Baptist Church Cancer Care Ministry.

Michelle is survived by her loving family, including her husband of 20 years, Andy Tarbutton of Tyler; daughters, Audrey Michelle Tarbutton and Camryn Grace Tarbutton of Tyler; her parents; and brothers, Terry Mount of Gladewater, Gary Mount and Alan Mount, both of Tyler.

Visitation is scheduled for Sunday, Jan. 17, 2010, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Stewart Family Funeral Home, 7525 Old Jacksonville Highway, Tyler, 75703.

Memorials in honor of Michelle Mount Tarbutton may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1301 S. Broadway Ave., Tyler, 75701; or to Southside Bank College Fund, 6201 S. Broadway Ave., Tyler, 75703

So very sorry to hear this awful news. I was amazed at how faithful they were to God during this ordeal....never questioning. God speed Michelle and God bless Andy and the girls.

To Andy and family:
I am so sorry to hear about Michelle. She is in a much better place and no longer sick. When we would come back to Tyler, we would randomly see each other and she was always so kind and positive.
You and your family are in our prayers.
Debbie (Merriman) Ellebracht
